Thanks as ever to the legenday Phyllis Cohen for hosting.

Born in Liverpool, Peter Deaves is a folk and jazz singer-songwriter musician based in Paris, France. His warm, resonant voice bleeds variously through his compositions – from soulful melancholy to upbeat post-pop reflections on modern life and politics. He counts amongst his influences, James Taylor, Bob Dylan, Don McLean, David Bowie, Frank Sinatra, Jacques Brel and Gainsbourg; and has drawn comparison to contemporary artists such as George Ezra, Tom Odell and Sufjan Stevens.

David James Murphy is a singer-songwriter from Ireland currently living in Paris. He’ll wake you up with unbelievably powerful vocals and but send you back into a slumber with the sweet soothing tones of Irish folk. His musical influences draw back to Sam Cooke, Paul Simon, Joe Cocker, John Prine and Van Morrison spinning forward to the modern-day soul-folk of Bon Iver, The Lumineers and Hozier.
