The Freres

The FreresThe Freres (no accents) are: James Jewell from the woods of Pennsylvania and Bret Roberts from the mountains of Alaska. They just met in an old Castle in the Marais and were jamming within minutes and filming the next day. They have already recorded a 12 song record and made a short film (post production). They are très American and both a little francophilish. They jokingly call them selves “The Freres” but are still on the hunt for the perfect band name. They are both multi-instrumentalists playing the spoons, sax, drums, bass, keys, guitar, and on and on. They trade off songs on stage like they are playing a game of catch or juggling china. They back each other up on each tune with grace, charm and a bit of mischievousness. The sounds they make could come straight from a cocktail party on the French Riviera or the back porch of a shack in Tennessee. This is an act not to be missed. These are definitely going places even if it is just out back for a smoke.

DJ Sven Löve

DJ SvenAfter being a DJ for more than 15 years in Paris and all over the world, Sven decided to focus on writing. He loves writing short stories and has plenty of them in his bag. He has also co-written with his sister, the well-known French film director Mia Hansen-Löve a script for a feature film titled « Lost In Music ». It will be the fourth feature of Mia. The shooting has already started in New York in September. It’s a fiction based on Sven’s souvenirs as a DJ.
