Paris Lit Up n°2 London Double Launch

May 20, 2015 @ 8:30 pm - May 21, 2015 @ 11:30 pm

PLU Lights Up London!

All aboard the PLU bus to our next launch location… London!

On May 20th and 21st, a Paris Lit Up squadron of poets, writers and transnational bohemians will be pulling up at different Londonian locations to celebrate the launch of our magazine N°2, and to look smug about the upcoming third issue.

Both events are free and open to all and you can even get your hands on our latest issue as well as the other publications in our Paris Lit Up Press catalogue.

Wednesday May 20 @ 7.30/8pm
The Verge Bar (Brick Lane)
Unit A, 114-118 Bethnal Green Road
London E2 6DG

We’ve been invited to co-host the monthly ‘Spoken’ open mic (Jah-Mir Early, Bex London and Jonas McCloud) with special guest Harry Man, followed by readings from many of the talented writers and artists from the magazine.

Harry Man (b. 1982) is the 2014 winner of The Bridges of Struga Award for his first pamphlet, Lift (Tall Lighthouse). It was also nominated for ‘Best Pamphlet’ in the 2014 Sabotage Awards. In 2015 he was selected for the Versopolis project, touring festivals across Europe. Finders Keepers, a collaboration with illustrator Sophie Gainsley, is forthcoming from Sidekick Books.

Thursday May 21 @ 6:30
The Poetry Society – The Poetry Café (Covent Garden)
Covent Garden Market
22 Betterton Street
London WC2H 9BX

Readings by writers and artists published in the magazine, followed by an open mic.

Just a taster of some of the PLU readers: Alex Manthei, Louisa Dunnigan, David Cooke, James Bird, Liz Greenfield, Matthew Caley, Emily Ruck Keene, Iris Colomb and Sohini Basak
