PLU Open Mic featuring John David Ragan

February 15 @ 8:00 pm - 11:59 pm

Come along tomorrow night for a second night in a row for more music, mpoetry, mprose and madness! We welcome John David Ragan as the featured Union artist and remind you that sign-up begins at 20h. And leave your issues at home: this is a night for coming together and respecting each other, for nothing else!

JD has been singing and playing guitar since he was 16 years old. He has traveled and studied in 50 countries, hitchhiking, riding motorcycles and bicycles and paying for much of it with work in the building trades in Alaska, in commercial fishing, and in the restaurant industry. He has a Masters in French from the University of Paris IV Sorbonne, a PhD from NYU in European history, and he has studied Spanish in Latin America and Spain, German for a year in Berlin, and Arabic in Cairo and Tunis. He has published two books and he has a third one that he’s trying to sell. Any publishers or agents out there listening?
As an anglophone writer and musician, JD says that Paris is the most stimulating environment he has ever found! With the Sunday Writers’ Group at Shakespeare and Co., the Open Mics, the Jazz Cafes and the multicultural mix of Paris, the magic is here!
Thank you to Sabine Dundure for the beautiful picture!
