POETS LIVE presents 3 poets: Elizabeth T. Gray Jr., Jennifer Grotz and Margo Berdeshevsky

Elizabeth T. Gray Jr. is a poet, translator, and corporate consultant. She has published translations from classical and contemporary Persian, notably IRAN Poems of Dissent (2013) and the GREEN SEA of HEAVEN (1995) and her own poetry collection is SERIES/INDIA (2015). She is the founding member of two consulting firms that assist global corporations and governments form, manage, and repair complex inter-organizational alliances. She has a B.A. and J.D. from Harvard University and an M.F.A. from Warren Wilson College.


Jennifer Grotz is the author of three books of poetry, most recently Window Left Open, appearing from Graywolf in 2016. She is also the translator of Psalms of All My Days (Carnegie Mellon, 2014), from the French poet Patrice de La Tour du Pin, and the novel Rochester Knockings, by Hubert Haddad (Open Letter, 2015). She teaches poetry and translation at the University of Rochester and also serves as director of the recently established Bread Loaf Translators’ Conference.

Margo Berdeshevsky’s newest poetry manuscript was finalist for the National Poetry Series 2015. Her published collections are “Between Soul & Stone,” and “But a Passage in Wilderness,” (Sheep Meadow Press.) Her “Beautiful Soon Enough,” (University of Alabama Press), a book of illustrated stories, received Fiction Collective 2’s Innovative Fiction Award. Other honors include the Robert H.
