NEW! Paris Lit Up Drop-in Writing Workshop

NEW! Paris Lit Up Drop-in Writing Workshop

Are you a writer? Have you written something that needs fresh eyes? Want some feedback on your work? Look no further! Paris Lit Up is delighted to announce our new weekly Drop-in Writing Workshop starting on Saturday 11 January 2014 at 16h!

This feedback workshop is for any writers – poetry or prose – looking for eagle-eye editing and constructive group criticism of their work. The workshop will be held every Saturday afternoon at Apparemment Café 18 (Rue des Coutures St-Gervais 75003) and will be coordinated by one of our three professional workshop hosts, JF Mc Gimsey, Kate Noakes and Paul Stevenson.

When?

Every Saturday at 16h sharp.

How?

Simply bring up to 5 pages of your work (in multiple copies, double-spaced) and our expert workshop hosts will guide the group through a careful reading and discussion of it. All participants will be encouraged to share their opinions on how the work reads, what thoughts it provokes, and to comment on it.

Who?

Any style or form of written word, prose, poetry, scripts, essays, your English homework… if you can write it, we’ll read it. Come once or come every week, no commitment necessary.

How much?

In keeping with Paris Lit Up’s non-profit, community-oriented philosophy, participants are kindly asked to make a 3€ donation to the collective pot. All proceeds are transparently used to print our magazine (to which you can submit!) and invite guest readers to our weekly Open Mic. Participants are also encouraged to purchase a drink from our kind hosts, Apparemment Café, even if it is just a coffee.

Group Hosts

Each week one of 3 hosts will organize and conduct the workshop:
