PLU Magazine – Call for Submissions 2014!

Submissions for issue n°2 are now closed. Thank you to the over 400 people who sent us their work. See you in a few months…

The second edition of the hugely successful Paris Lit Up magazine will be published in the autumn of 2014. Since we planning to double the length of the magazine, we are looking for many high quality submissions. Anything goes: poetry, prose, articles, essays, interviews, photographs, artwork, comics, translations – if you can put it on paper, we want it. No rules, no limits.

…but, please, be reasonable and read the submission guidelines carefully.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

Deadline: Midnight CET on 28 February 2014

  1. Written submissions of previously unpublished work must be made using the Hey Publisher form at http://parislitup.com/plu-magazine/.  Please include your BIO using Hey Publisher. No emails, no exceptions. FORMATS ACCEPTED: .DOC .RTF and .TXTDO NOT SUBMIT in .DOCX, it won’t work!
  2. Image submissions can be made by sending a small preview of your image to: magazine [at] parislitup [dot] com. Send us no more than 10mb jpeg per submission.
  3. Translations must be accompanied by permission from the original writer or their literary estate; note point 6 below in this context especially.
  4. Writers and artists from Paris or with a Paris connection are especially sought, although submissions from anywhere in the world will be considered. Tell us how you’re connected using the built-in Bio on Hey Publisher.
  5. Contributors will be given 1 complimentary copy of the magazine. As a non-profit Association, we regret that we have no funds to pay contributors.
  6. In keeping with the cooperative principles of Paris Lit Up, this magazine will be published under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 Unported license. This license allows your work to be freely shared and distributed under the conditions of author attribution, noncommercial use and no derivative works (further legal details on the can be found here).

All submissions will be assumed to agree to these terms.
