PLU Open Mic featuring 36:15 Live Body Painting
Naked people night!
Emily kicks everything off by complaining about her Neighbours, Florant Frenches it, Jon loses his poetry virginity, the Ciat comes back with this burning ukulele, Daniel slams from SanFran, and Scott asks for a Kickstart.
Round 2 saw: Donald, Alison, Maysan, Pupple & P’tit Ben, Rebecca, Adrian, Ed and a rap battle at the end.
On Thursday, October 27th, PLU’s Open Mic expands into visual performance with the calligrapher and artist 36.15 with writer and actress Zoé. Accompanied by poetry and music, his live body painting of a nude model will push poetry into a new dimension. As always, sign up is free (starting at 8pm) and open to all, all night long. Sing, read, mime, dance or challenge the host to a rap battle: the stage is yours.
36.15 lives and works in Paris. In the footsteps of medieval scribes, graffiti artists and calligraphers like Michaux, Masoudi, Benaoum or Mailman, he has studied the intricacies of words and letters, both in sense and their symbolic, rhythmic and gestural energy.
