Matt Jones served in the Canadian military for thirteen years before becoming a Parisian bohemian. He’s written about his experiences on a warship and serving in Afghanistan, as well as his travels in Nicaragua, China and Europe. In Ottawa he worked as the artistic director of VERSeFest 2015, and was an editor of In/Words magazine, where he published a chapbook, “White Flowers and Landmines.” In 2014 he won Arc Poetry Magazine’s Readers’ Choice Award for his poem “Wounded Village” and has published other work in Arc, Scintilla, Ottawater and other places.
