PLU Presents featuring John Hicks
This episode of PLU Presents featuring John Hicks, marks the fourth week of the French lockdown. In the eclectic collection of videos within, one can see how the quarantine is starting to impact the creative process. Hosted by Helen O’Keeffe, writer extraordinaire and queen of all things Dada, these artists play with apocalypse dating, skeleton invasions, and cats dancing with owls. Through it all, John Hicks provides soulful songs and guitar in a series of thoughtful, original settings.
But weighty matter, too, as artists wrestle with the sense of claustrophobia, or change, of rot. Something has been lost, is being lost, and it falls to us to give it voice. We at Paris Lit Up are extraordinarily grateful for all the artists who have contributed to this artistic record - may your talents continue to bloom and guide!
Despite everything, our community flourishes, and you can be a part of it. We invite you to join this historical moment by emailing your work (via WeTransfer) to info@parislitup.com
