PLU Presents persists - Enjoy the talented Moonlit Brooks, and other startling and evocative performances here, in this our 8th episode.

In Paris, authorities have eased the lockdown. Now we can gather in small groups. We emerge like moles, sun-blind and dazzled, those who dare. Others stay in their cocoons, writing their masterpieces, or plotting their next submissions to PLU Presents?

Moonlit Brooks is more than a beautiful image; it’s a musical duo comprised of Tanya Gautam and Denny Seidel, both based in Heidelberg, Germany. Their contributions are soothing, melodious and lyrical reflections, a pleasure for ear and mind. Together they are contemplative without being moody, addressing huge topics like love and peace with genuine hope.

Vivienne Vermes shares a video with stills from her book, The Barefoot Road. She has also agreed to speak at one of our upcoming writing workshops!

Otherwise the evening was much like the best nights at Culture Rapide, before the open mic went virtual. One of those evenings when the place wasn’t too packed yet the names on the list were of complete artistic champions. Outside it may have been drizzly or sleeting but inside everything but the pints were warm. PLU Presents episode 8 has that feel.

A special shout-out to Vivienne Vermes, Rufo Quintavalle, and John Hicks for their consistent contributions over the last two months. Always fresh and inventive, these artists have been pivotal in making PLU Presents a success. We hope you continue to send in your beautiful, your troubling, your evocative work.
